BY-LAW 13

AREA COUNCILS

Section (1)

In accordance with Section 12 of the Constitution of the Public Service Alliance of Canada, this Component shall encourage and participate in the organization and operation of Area Councils in centres where three or more Components of the Public Service Alliance of Canada exists.

Section (2)

In areas where the condition set forth in Section (1) of this By-Law exists, this Component shall make application to the Public Service Alliance of Canada as required by Sub-section (2) of Section 12 of the Constitution of the Public Service Alliance of Canada, and upon approval of the application as specified, Component Locals in such areas shall participate in the formation and operation of Area Councils within the terms and conditions of Sub-sections (1) to (13) inclusive of Section 12 of the Constitution of the Public Service Alliance of Canada.
