BY-LAW 15

MERGERS

Section (1)

The National Executive shall have the authority to decide whether and with what other Component of the PSAC the Natural Resources Union should merge with in the event that such should be required in the future.

Section (2)

Any decision to merge shall result in a merger agreement with the chosen Component that provides for the continuation of service to the membership by the full-time staff of the Natural Resources Union and which protects all terms and conditions of their employment.

Section (3)

The National Executive shall during any merger discussions with other Components of the PSAC make all reasonable efforts to ensure that the membership of the Natural Resources Union has an elected member on the Executive of the new organization.

Section (4)

Any decision of the National Executive to merge or not shall be confirmed by a vote of the National Council of the Natural Resources Union.
