REGULATION 2 - PAYABLE ALLOWANCE

 

2.01      Except as herein provided, Component members, officers and staff authorized to travel on Component business shall be entitled to reimbursement for expenses incurred during such travel in accordance with the PSAC Travel Directive. 2.04      Expense claims shall be submitted to the Assistant to the President for payment no later than the 20th day of the month following the month in which expenses were incurred.

 

2.05      Members of the National Council shall be paid a composite allowance of $15.00 as reimbursement for their reasonable costs for personal expenses for attending meetings called within their Headquarters Area or performing duties on behalf of the Component when authorized by the National Executive or National President.

 

2.06      Members of the National Council and staff residing in the Ottawa-Hull region shall be paid a daily composite allowance in accordance with the PSAC Travel Directive when in attendance at a National Council meeting.  Such allowance to cover the costs of transportation, parking and meals. (amended as per National Council resolution April 2001).

 

2.07      Members of the National Council residing outside the Ottawa-Hull region shall be paid a daily composite allowance in accordance with the PSAC Travel Directive, when in attendance at a National Council meeting.  Such allowance to cover the costs of hotel accommodation, meals and incidentals. (amended as per National Council resolution April 2001).

 

2.08      Regulations 2.06 and 2.07 shall not be applicable when the National Council meets outside of the Ottawa-Hull region.  In such cases, hotel, meals and incidentals shall be paid in accordance with 2.01 of this regulation.  (deleted references to 2.02 and 2.03 as amended at the March/86 Council meeting).

 

2.09      When the First or Second Vice-President are required to perform duties on behalf of the Component during a normal work week, they shall be paid a Directors fee of $145. Or their actual loss of salary, whichever is greater, for each full day they are required to perform such duties.  (amended at the April 30, 2000 Council Meeting).

 

2.10      In addition to a provision of reimbursement for lost wages under regulation 2.09, the First and Second Vice-President shall be paid a per diem equal to Treasury Board rates per day when in attendance at the Board of Directors Meeting to cover such expenses as meals, parking, etc.(as amended at Triennial Convention, September 1999)
