REGULATION 7 - ELECTION OF NATIONAL EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES COORDINATOR AND NATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY COORDINATOR

7.01 The Component Equal Opportunities Coordinator and the National Health and Safety Coordinator shall be elected at the Triennial National Convention of this Component from amongst nominations submitted by each Local.

7.02 Each Local of this Component shall be permitted a maximum of one nomination for each of the positions as stipulated in 7.01 of this regulation.

7.03 Each Local shall submit nominations in the manner prescribed in the call for nominations and shall provide a resume of the nominees' experience relative to the position for which they are nominated.

7.04 Upon receipt of the nominations from the Locals the Assistant to the President shall cause to have the resumes translated and sent to all voting delegates to the Triennial National Convention.

7.05 The EO Coordinator and the National Health & Safety Coordinator shall take office at the close of the Triennial Convention at which they are elected.

7.06 The EO Coordinator and the National Health & Safety Coordinator may be replaced or removed from their respective positions for cause as determined by the National Council and only upon a majority vote of the National Council.

7.07 The election of the EO Coordinator and National Health and Safety Coordinator shall take place after the election of the National Executive and shall follow the same procedure as stipulated in By-Law 9, section (1), (3), (7) and (9).
